Hello Everyone,
Hopefully some people will remember Roose I was a member of the DoL until a few months ago when I disappeared with out an explanation. I was called away abroad at very short notice with work and will return in a month or so, once I get back I will have a lot of time off to take so will be getting back in to wow and Rp with a vengeance. I intend to create both an Alliance character and a Horde character (having never experienced horde RP) and I would be honoured for my Alliance Character to be considered for a place in the DoL.
OOC information
Name: Simon
Age: Old enough to know better but young enough to ignore my own advise.
Location: England, quite near Vale. I hope the sun is shining where you are Vale.
Experience with WoW: Been playing WOW for a while off and on for quite a while. I know quite a bit of Warcraft Lore especially when it comes to Light Wielding Alliance Characters (I was a very attentive student in all of Rentarns lessons) I currently don't have any characters, but I do have plenty of Rp experience of both the pen and paper kind and in wow.
How did you hear of us?: The first time I joined DoL I was recruited by Rentarn after joining some random Rp outside the cathedral and the rest they say is history.
Do you know anyone in the order already?: Not sure who is still about and active, but I hope a lot of people will recognise the name Roose.
Hobbies: Rugby, shooting, reading, military history.
Work/student/other: Work
Are you familiar with the Code of Conduct: Yes you could say that
What can you contribute with in the guild: Well I would hope plenty I am in my opinion an experienced Rper who in the past has organised events and assisted with the running of guilds.
Your average online time: Dependent on work but a lot (probably too much)
IC information
Character Name: Master at Arms Rodbard Thunderstone of the Stonefist Clan
Character Race: Dwarf
Character Class: Warrior
Male/Female: Male
Birthplace: Ironforge
Age/DoB: 121 years old. Born 03/04/503 (Kings Calendar)
Short Piece of writing: This is what I propose for a history of Rodbard it’s entirely dependent on a member of the DoL playing along with my back story.
Master at Arms Rodbard Thunderstone of the Stonefist Clan was born in Ironforge 121 years ago, he grew up in a typical dwarven family. He was a large child (for a dwarf) and now has grown in to an impressively muscular dwarf who stands 5’1” tall in his socks and weighs roughly 110kg when not dressed in armour or carrying a large axe. He has long blonde hair usually tied back in a pony tail or braid and a large braided beard, his beard is decorated with a number of rings and his arms sport the usual soldier’s tattoos denoting company and clan.
Like most Dwarven children he dreamt of becoming a famous warrior and being of such a fine physical specimen his uncle recruited him in to his company of Dwarven Infantry he fought through the Second and Third wars and countless other wars and battles. Having seen so many of his friends killed or maimed despite being them being true believers of the Light he lost his religion, trusting in only Axe, Armour and Ale. After the Third War Rodbard was contacted by members of the Explorers League to assist them in there tasks, this has led him to many strange and wonderful places.
Rodbard didn’t take part in the initial invasion of Northrend or the fight against the Lich King as he was assisting the Explorers League in another matter. Upon his return to Ironforge he was swiftly sent out to the Explorers' League Outpost in the area known as the Howling Fjord. While travelling from Valiance Keep to the Outpost he was attacked by a pair of Magnataurs and despite despatching both of these foul creatures he was dealt a mortal blow. Propped up against a rock Rodbard saw his life blood ebbing away before him. It was like this that he was found by a member of the Disciples of Light who using the power of the Light healed his grievous wound. Upon recovering from his wound he completed a Gwyarbrawden ritual between himself and the member of the Disciples of Light. The manner of his healing has also reestablished Rodbard’s long forgotten belief in the Light and he wishes to join the Disciples to pay back his debt to the person who healed him and also to the Light which gave him his life back.
