The Disciples of Light are knights and champions of the Holy Light that put their efforts together into one Order for the same objective: to ensure the safety of the King's lands as well as holy grounds and to perish the undead race from the face of Azeroth.
They are chivalrous and honourable aswell as highly respected in Stormwind, the bastion of humanity. Acting as the police force of Stormwind city, the Disciples have the duty to enforce the king's law and to ensure the safety of the citizens of this beautiful city, risking their own necks apprehending criminals and protecting the people.
Consisting solely on Holy Light followers, the Disciples of Light participate and arrange events dedicated to Light; masses, pilgrimages, call to arms to cleanse and best undead and demons and deliver diplomacy to other factions.

Brother Neals, the Priest at Northshire Abbey, Elwynn Forest, was growing increasingly tired of the corruption within Stormwind's walls, and every day he would sense a lack of peace, a lack of a certain way of life that the Humans of Azeroth have followed for centuries. He had also gained information concerning the motives of the Forsaken - the Undead race that reside in the North, led by their Queen Sylvanas Windrunner from the Undercity, beneath the ruins of the fallen City of Lorderan.
He decided that a special group of Humans were needed to uphold the Virtues of the Holy Light, similar to the legendary Order of the Silver Hand, to spread it's teachings far and wide, help protect the Kingdom of Elwynn, and to combat Windrunner's Forsaken armies and apothecary works, that grow larger every day. He therefore placed this task in the hands of a young Human Paladin that he had helped raise since birth - a boy named Aarian. Born to unknown parents, Aarian was raised in the Abbey, and Brother Neals sees him as the son that he never had.
Aarian named the group The Disciples of Light, and set off to spread the word of the Holy Light around Elwynn and Stormwind, re-igniting the passion for a once-great philosophy. He soon gained two trusted Chaplains in Bors and Morfran, and the Disciples set about to build up their numbers, study hard in the ways of the Light, aid the Cathedral of Stormwind, take prominence in the politics of the City, root out corruption and evil, and put in motion their crusade against the Forsaken.
The Disciples of Light now also seek to bring justice to the Blood Elves, who currently hold captive a powerful being of the Light - a 'Naaru' - within Silvermoon City. This race is plundering the powers of the Light and using them for evil, to kill and maim members of the Alliance. The hatred of the Blood Elf race is fuelled by the fact that the Sin Belore, a Blood Elf order, captured and murdered the Disciples' legendary Chaplain, Bors Lighthammer - thus an underlying quest for vengeance signals war between these two groups.
It is with open arms that the Disciples still to this day recruit and seek stout and brave hearted men and women of the Light to join the cause and strive to make this world a better place for all.
